The 600 KW Organic Rankine Cycle Waste Heat Power Conversion System is a means of achieving considerable energy savings on a near term basis by recovering waste heat and converting it into usable power. A description is presented of the system, its development and field test programs, and some of the underlying concepts on which the design is based.
