摘要
Thirteen papers grouped in this volume focus on the study of materials modeling in the area of minerals. The intention was to analyze the advantages and disadvantages, including the data requirements, of specific methodologies for economic and physical models of materials flows that permit examination of such factors as raw material price and availability, the technological aspects of supply and demand, and related energy requirements. The papers are grouped in the three central parts of the volume. Part I contains four papers addressing themselves to models and decisions in a general fashion; Part II contains six papers covering several commodity model approaches; and Part III deals with modeling of the basic resource base in nonfuel minerals. Selected papers are indexed separately.
