A joint venture between Norske Skogsindustrier of Norway and Industrias Klabin Papel e Celulose was formed to operate Klabin's newsprint mill in Brazil. Called Norske Skog Klabin, the mill will house one machine with a capacity to produce 130,000 mtpy. The company intends to expand its lightweight coated papers capacity through an acquisition or merger in North America or Europe.
