Possibilities and Examples of the Sound Processing in Present-Day Television Productions.

On the basis of the understanding that, in the future, the two picture-information media - film and magnetic tape - will continue to exist side by side, it is shown how the sound compnent can be processed in a manner that suitable for both film and magnetic-tape productions. The equipment for this is remotely operated from the mixing position and coupled synchronously by means of a time code or a two-phase signal. The equipment and associated operational method of post-synchronizing the sound are described by means of three examples.
