摘要：
Falls from the face roof are caused by high strata pressure, which increases constantly with depth and the density of extraction. The main means of countering the negative effects of this is to have effective support under the roof as close as possible to the coal face. The synchronised and positive setting controls can be regarded as a first step to partial automation of support work with the aim of improving strata control. Two lines of development are in competition here: automatic hydraulic versus electro-hydraulic support controls.
