The problem of scheduling the operation of multiproduct batch chemical plants with various process routes is formulated anew in the form of a combinatorial optimization problem. For the first time, three numerical methods and algorithms of solution are proposed: the local search method; the statistical local search method; the method of simulated annealing. Numerical examples and comparative data on results obtained by means of different algorithms are given.
