摘要
The last 10 years have seen vast development in agricultural and industrial projects in Sri Lanka. The launching of Granex (Private) Ltd in 1987 is a good example. The factory is equipped with an Italian-made Barsanti 120-blade gang saw, Zambon polishing machines, diamond circular saws, a Japanese block cutter with 36 in. blades, and a miscellany of other equipment. Recently Granex changed from conventional to diamond polishing heads for the later stages. He says that 'This polishing system gives a very fine lustre like a mirror finish, and reduces the lead time of polishing. Although the diamond heads are expensive, the quality end product and reduction of time saves money in the long run'.
