摘要：
Application of satellite imagery as an exploration tool is considered that has moved beyond its research stage. Improvements in computer processing of satellite data and understanding its application mean that remote sensing can play an important role as a reconnaissance tool. Landsat 4 equipment has improved data resolution, placing space-gathered data within the reach of the smallest company.
