New moulding line is cornerstone of German 'white' foundry

This presentation shows that even a very traditional mechanised foundry can be upgraded to the point that it can provide outstanding working conditions, together with minimal arisings of disposable waste. Eisenwerk Arnstadt, in former East Germany, has recently installed a state-of-the-art Kuenkel Wagner moulding line, supplied with iron from a GHW hot-blast cupola. Of especial interest is the collection of foundry dust for subsequent injection through the cupola tuyeres.
