摘要
Steelmaking process with use of slag waste of secondary aluminum production ('aluminum slag') or electroslag refining was trialed at the Lipetsk iron and steel works. Conventional use of liquid synthetic slag increases costs to 9 roubles per ton of slab. Pilot heats were carried out in 160-t converter. New materials were added to liquid bath in the form of solid slag mix (lime-'aluminum slag', lime-ESR slag waste) during blowing and ladle treatment. The use of ESR slag waste in converter during isotropic electric steelmaking or solid slag mix (lime-'aluminum slag') in ladle treatment improves desulphuration conditions and brings about less slab crop and reject by 8.27 kg and 1.4 kg per ton respectively.
