摘要：
Realtime processing with microcomputers is simplified by the use of counter/timer devices. The characteristics of commonly found timers are described, along with problems and conflicts encountered in their use. As an alternative to the multitimer concept a software solution, the so-called multi-tasking clock program, is presented. In conjunction with a large number of delays of more than 1 ms, it is capable of reducing hardware costs.
