摘要
The electron back bombardment phenomenon in high accelerating gradient standing wave linear accelerators was analyzed in comparison with that in magnetrons and microwave thermoionic guns. The methods for lowering the electron back bombardment power on the electron gun cathode and simultaneously increasing the accelerating gradient along the accelerating structure were introduced.
