Results are presented from tests of air-cooling equipment used for the cooling and condensation of gaseous ammonia containing small amounts of inert gas impurities. It is shown that the use of equipment of this type reduces the consumption of circulating water and also reduces the operating expenses required for the maintenance of the heat-exchangers.
