THE EFFECT OF INDUCED FLUCTUATIONS OF TURBULENT GAS FLOW ONTHE HEAT TRANSFER COEFFICIENTS IN A SLOTTED CHANNEL IS INVESTIGATED. CONDITIONS UNDER WHICH THERE IS THE GREATEST INCREASE IN HEAT TRANSFER COEFFICIENTS (BY FACTOS OF 3 TO 7) ARE DETERMINED. DIMENSIONLESS EQUATIONS FOR THE MAXIMUM HEAT TRANSFER COEFFICIENT IN FLUCTUATING GAS FLOWS ARE SUGGESTED.
