摘要
The tv industry has a major share in production of consumer electronics in India. With the introduction of color tv(CTV) and also the number of relay stations, planned for functional operation before the end of March, 1985, the demand for both color television (CTV) and monochrome (B/W) tv receivers increased. The industry has, therefore, been receiving attention from the government which is also committed to protect consumer interest. For organized growth of the CTV industry, the government has emphasized consumer satisfactory through organized scheme for certification which has necessitated production of quality components at viable levels. This report aims to highlight the various measures that have been taken and are being adopted in India for a healthy growth of the CTV receiver industry.
