COMPOSITE BEAMS.

Aspects which had to be further investigated with a view to arriving at a suitable justified method of analysis of composite beams are presented. On the basis of a study of the literature and experiemntal research the Netherlands Committee conclusions with regard to the main problems are analyzed and discussed. Examples are laminated timber frames, steel-concrete beams or slabs, and concrete-concrete beams or slabs. The report is concerned with the behavior of beams or slabs comprising two concrete components.
