摘要
Recent successes with the utilization of aluminum as a core material for form wheels have greatly enhanced the capability of generating many complex curvilinear, internal and external radii forms which were heretofore very difficult or impossible to develop. The ease with which these wheels are manufactured has also reduced wheel costs. This paper discusses various manufacturing techniques for these wheels, as well as tests which were performed in both step and plunge grinding of tungsten carbide. Application guidelines for the utilization of these wheels are also presented.
