摘要
The aim of this work was to carry out the numerical modelling of the geometry of the front wall of the penetration channel taking into account the oscillatory movement of the region of collision of the beam with the metal. Experimental results show that the process of formation of the front wall of the penetration channel in electron beam welding takes place by the periodic displacement of the zone of collision of the beam with the metal from the surface into the depth of the channel as a result of a number of consecutive reflections of the electron beam from the front wall of the channel. The model proposed can be used to evaluate the rate of penetration in electron beam welding.
