摘要
The paper deals with the selection, maintenance and use of steel wire ropes and also covers various aspects of slings and splicing. The material covered is focussed around the practical aspects of using steel wire ropes in service and the intention is to help users of steel wire ropes to obtain improved service life from these products, keeping in mind at the same time the all-important concept of safety.
