摘要:
More than 90% of the waste to be burned at the Schwandorf refuse incineration power plant has to be transported to Schwandorf from distances of up to 140 km (about 320,000 t per year). Extensive analyses of problems of siting, transport routeing and transport system have been carried out to meet this special challenge. The choice fell on a rail system with special equipment for loading, unloading, storage in transit, compaction and trans-shipment to decentralized collecting points. From here removal is effected in special containers by trains operating on a 24-hour cycle.
