The effect of rotation on blade boundary layer of wind turbine was described and three-dimensional incompressible steady momentum integral boundary layer equations were employed. By solving the equations with the assumed velocity profiles and a series of models (including both laminar and turbulent boundary layer models), key parameters such as separation position and momentum thickness were calculated and compared for the rotating and non-rotating cases. It was concluded that the stall is postponed due to rotation and the separation point is delayed with the increasing rotation speed or the decrease of the blade spanwise position.
