摘要
This research develops a semi-automatic generation method for the model view definition (MVD) based on the industry foundation classes (IFC) standard to support extracting and sharing information from a complete building information modeling (BIM) the according to each task's exchange requirement, which is important for creating and applying BIM in the building lifecycle (BLC). The IFC meta model is constructed by analyzing the definitions and classifications of the IFC entities. Then, rules are given for a complete MVD and a process is given to generate the MVD. The feasibility and efficiency of the MVD generation method are verified through examples. The results shows that the MVD generation method can describe each task's information requirements at creation, exchange and application, which is a very important supporting technology for BIM creation and applications oriented to BLC. ©, 2014, Press of Tsinghua University.
