摘要
The ERP is an industry-driven concepts and systems, and is universally accepted by the industry as a practical solution to achieve integrated enterprise information systems. Though the ERP system is a packaged software, most of the research works on ERP are focused primarily on the managerial factors. After literature review, the following performance indicators are found to be the current research issues in the ERP implementation. They are: requirements management, customisation, ERP project evaluation, effort estimation and software process management. Using these performance indicators, a 'performance enhancement model for ERP projects' has been developed. In this paper, each of these research issues are formulated as a problem and the feasibility to apply this model using appropriate methodology is discussed. This study explores and identifies the research issues contributing to the performance enhancement of ERP projects. For those organisations adopting ERP, this research study gives a model which provides a roadmap to follow in order for the successful ERP implementation.
