Results of the study of the fauna of Copepoda in Novorossiysk Bay of the Black Sea and in the Sea of Azov carried out in 2004 are given in the paper. A total of 67 species of invertebrates was identified. Among them 35 species are not native to the Black Sea. The distribution and taxonomic affiliation of Copepoda; and also possible ways of penetration of the Mediterranean species into the region; are discussed. © 2008 Begell House; Inc;
