Factors influencing the chiral imprinting in perovskite nanoparticles

Chiral perovskites have emerged as a new class of nanomaterials for manipulation and control of spin polarized current and circularly polarized light for applications in spintronics; chiro-optoelectronics; and chiral photonics. While significant effort has been made in discovering and optimizing strategies to synthesize different forms of chiral perovskites; the mechanism through which chirality is imbued onto the perovskites by chiral surface ligands remains unclear. In this minireview; we provide a detailed discussion of one of the proposed mechanisms; electronic imprinting from a chiral ligand. © 2024 The Royal Society of Chemistry;
