Preparation and evaluation of monoclonal antibody against nitroaniline

A monoclonal antibody (McAb) against nitroaniline was prepared for measuring nitroaniline residuals and for an enzyme linked immuno-sorbent assay (ELISA) reagent kit. Balb/c mice were immunized intraperitoneally with nitroaniline coupled with bovine serum albumin. Hybridoma cell lines secreting McAbs were obtained using routine hybridoma technology and ELISA screening. The McAbs subtype was IgG1. The ascite titer was 10-7. The McAbs had no cross-reaction with some analogues of nitroaniline. The results show that the indirect competitive ELISA can be used to accurately detect nitroaniline residues in various water samples and be benefit for environmental monitoring.
