Advanced energy management: A look into IDR smart meters

摘要：
A common scenario for a retail store manager is receiving a high electric bill every month, which in effect lowers the store's overall profitability. One way to fight this common scenario is to equip the facility with an integral data meter (IDR), or smart meter, which enables management to better understand daily energy consumption. With a smart meter monitoring daily energy usage, companies would gain insight to identify several new energy-saving opportunities totaling tens of thousands of dollars or more per year.
