摘要
We have conducted an analytical survey in the state of the art in the technology of drinking water conditioning at the centralized water treatment facilities. We have covered the issues on the role of natural organic compounds in the formation of the quality of natural and drinking water, we have also studied the possibilities of wastewater pretreatment by filtration through natural barriers. We have analyzed and substantiated the use of various technological techniques for drinking water conditioning of high quality. The paper considers prospects for using membrane processes and removal of specific pollutants in the technology of water conditioning. The article has assessed the impact on the drinking water quality by the state of the water-distribution systems. Modern flow charts of the water conditioning are presented in the form of case studies. © 2006 by Allerton Press, Inc.
