摘要
To extend the cell-type adaption of THINC / QQ (tangent of hyperbola for interface capturing method with quadratic surface representation and Gaussian quadrature) scheme, the method of THINC/ QQ-SF (THINC/ QQ extended for split-face unstructured cells) is applied to 2D cut-cell or trimmed meshes. Before the interface is reconstructed, complex cells with hanging nodes are virtually simplified as regular quadrilateral or triangular cells. Then, the real cell topologies are considered, when calculating the VOF (volume of fluid) fluxes. A series of 2D cut-cell meshes are designed for typical tests on VOF advection and dam break, and the feasibility of the present extension method is validated. Compared with HRIC (high-resolution interface capturing), the 2D THINC/ QQ-SF method could obtain higher accuracies, and effectively suppress the VOF numerical diffusion when multi-phase flows have large interfacial deformation. © 2023 Editorial Board of Journal of Harbin Engineering.
