摘要
The present paper describes the rotary-type flow control valve that is developed for controlling the rotational speed of the fluid-driven spindle. The valve controls water or oil flow, depending on the spindle application. The structure of the designed flow control valve is first introduced with brief experiment on the spindle. Mathematical models are then derived in order to consider the control performance of the valve. Flow control performance of the valve is examined through calculations and experiments. In addition, the performance of the rotational speed control of the spindle by the valve is studied via experiments and calculations. Finally, it is verified that the developed flow control valve successfully controls the rotational speed of the spindle with desiitd itsolution of the rotational speed. The calculation itsults using linearized models are also compared with the experimental itsults, showing that it will be useful to design a feedback control system. © 2011 The Japan Society of Mechanical Engineers.
