摘要
The results are presented from a combined experimental, analytical, and computational penetration program. An explicit transient dynamic finite element code is used to model the projectile under an analytical forcing load representing the target. The free surface effects become significant with the increase in penetration angle, The analytical forcing load used here is derived from the spherical cavity expansion approach with modifications to account for the free surface effects during oblique penetration. The simulation results show that the trajectory of projectile is in good agreement with experiment result.
