摘要
The presence of a paramagnetic ion in a biological system changes nuclear chemical shifts, 1 J-splittings, and relaxation rates, thus providing pseudocontact shifts (pcs), self-orientation residual dipolar couplings (rdc), paramagnetic relaxation enhancements, and paramagnetism-induced cross-correlations. All these quantities are long-range restraints useful for the determination of the structure of the investigated system, and contain information on its dynamics. © 2010 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
