The nanostructured CePO4 films were prepared through the water bath aging and hydrothermal process in glass slide substrate. The effects of different water environment, different reaction time on the morphology of CePO4 nanostructures were discussed. The CePO4 nanostructures were characterized by scanning electron microscope (SEM), X-ray diffratometer (XRD), and thermogravimetry-differential scanning calorimetry (TG-DSC). These results indicate that the nanostructured CePO4 films present different patterns in different aquatic environments. The crystal structure, the length and diameter of CePO4 nanowires have been changed. Reaction time is an important factor influencing the patterns of nanostructured CePO4 films.
