Cyclic response of latex modified reinforced concrete beams

An experimental program was carried out to investigate the behaviour of latex modified reinforced concrete (LMRC) beams in flexure under cyclic loading. Tests on 14 RC and LMRC beam specimens, containing latex in two different proportions, that is, 10% and 15% by weight of cement, have been conducted. The load-deflection envelope curves, common point curves and stability point curves are established for LMRC beams and compared with that of RC beams. Analytical expressions are proposed to represent the plastic deflection curves.
