摘要
The aim of the study was to evaluate the bond strength properties of four chair-side silicone lining materials (GC Reline Soft, Ufigel SC, Elite Soft Relining and Tokuyama Sofreliner S) and to compare their properties with those of a heat-cured silicone lining material Molloplast B. Tensile and shear bond strengths were measured using a Lloyd Instruments Materials Testing Machine (LR 5K), at a crosshead speed of 20 mm/min for tensile and shear testing. GC Reline Soft exhibited the highest shear bond strength (1.25 MPa), though this was not significantly higher than Molloplast B. The other materials were significantly weaker, with Ufigel SC being the weakest (0.49 MPa). GC Reline Soft also exhibited the highest tensile bond strength, though this was again not significantly higher than Molloplast B. Tokuyama Sofreliner SS (0.74 MPa) was significantly weaker than any of the other materials. Significant differences existed between the bond strength properties of the silicone auto-polymerizing denture soft lining material materials. © 2010 IOS Press and the authors. All rights reserved.
