Research purposes: With the further development of the 13th five-year plan for Chinese railway; several high-speed railway lines will be built in the mountains of southwest China. However; the seismic belts are widely distributed and the active fault is densely distributed in mountainous areas of southwest China; so many railway lines will inevitably span or approach seismic faults; the near fault seismic zone and large earthquake disaster induced by it will become the main factors affecting the safe operation of high-speed railways; however; the traditional railway bridge isolation and isolation measures are difficult to meet the seismic requirements of the bridge. Therefore; this paper proposed a variety of seismic isolation measures for the typical railway simply supported beam bridge in the 9-degree seismic region; and studied the constitutive model of various measures. Based on the numerical simulation method; the comparative analysis study on the reasonable seismic isolation measures for simple supported beam bridges was carried out in near-fault 9-degree seismic zone. Research conclusions:(1)Under the action of near-seismic strong earthquakes; the two measures of spherical bearing and hyperboloid spherical bearing could not effectively control the relative displacement between the pier and beam. Moreover; the spherical bearing measure was very likely to cause the unseating of bridge; and the two measures were not applicable to the bridge seismic in near fault earthquake zone.(2)The scheme of using the hyperboloid spherical bearing and damping tenon could effectively reduce the internal force and deformation of the pier. The damping tenon could dissipate the seismic energy well and limit the relative displacement between the pier and beam; and this measure was applicable to the bridge seismic in near fault earthquake zone.(3)The research results can provide technical support for earthquake resistance protection of simply supported beam bridge of near-fault railways. © 2020; Editorial Department of Journal of Railway Engineering Society.
