Experimental study on heating Kang with solar thermal and phase change energy storage

The Kang heating system has solar heating system combined capillary network and phase change energy storage. Through the experiment, results showed that the average temperatures of the head, medium and tail of traditional Kang are 65.70 ℃, 43.28 ℃ and 39.82 ℃, respectively, the difference of temperature is greater than 20 ℃ in the ordinary Kang. While the corresponding temperature in the new heating system room is 40.96 ℃, 39.06 ℃ and 37.52 ℃, the maximal difference of temperature is 3 ℃ only. The surface temperature of Kang that is covered by the phase-change materials decreases slowly during the night, and the surface temperature of phase-change material Kang is higher than ordinary Kang during 00:00-07:00. Indoor average temperature of the new mode room is 14.31 ℃ higher than ordinary Kang room during daytime and 7.21 ℃ higher than ordinary Kang room during night. It is greatly improved the thermal comfort of rural room. © 2015, Science Press. All right reserved.
