Simulation of the optical parts in an adaptive optics system

By utilizing the phase screen theory, the atmospheric turbulence is simulated. The method to simulate the Hartmann-Shack (H-S) wavefront sensor is discussed. In the end, the wavefront is reconstructed based on modal reconstruction strategy by utilizing the Zernike polynomials. The results show that the simulation method is feasible in developing an adaptive optics model on PC.
