Preparation of CaCO3 under the presence of sodium citrate

摘要
Calcium carbonate was synthesized by biomimetic synthetic method using gas diffusion process and sodium citrate as control agent. The effect of mineralization time on crystallization and morphology of CaCO3 was studied. The as-prepared samples were characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscope(TEM), fourier transform infrared spectrometer(FT-IR) and powder X-ray diffraction(XRD)analysis. The results revealed that the morphologies of the products significantly changed from dumbbell shape, golf-like to spherical as the mineralization time increasing.
