摘要
Wax additives are used to produce Warm Mix Asphallt, reducing the mix asphalt's work temperature because these additives reduce the binder viscosity at high temperatures, without affect the mechanical performance at service temperature. This work studies binders modified with several kind of waxes, connecting calorimetry data (using DSC/MDSC technique) with rheologycal test (using DSR technique). These techniques are not usually employed to study performance like stability and aging in bituminous binders. For this reason this work means a new focus to value wax modified bitumen, that can be used to study different modified bitumen.
