Cross-layer based multi-metrics AODV routing optimization

摘要
This paper introduced a new cross-layer hybrid metric for ad hoc on-demand distance vector (AODV) routing in WMN, based on the information obtained from wireless channel conditions from physical layer and link quality and congestion from MAC layer. Simulation results demonstrated that the new metric can greatly improve AODV routing performance in terms of end-to-end delay and throughput in contrast to the traditional metric of minimum hop.
