Synthesis and performance of Hangjin clay/acrylic acid composites

A kind of macromolecule composite was synthesized by Hangjin clay and acrylic acid. The influences of Hangjin clay dosage on apparent grafting ratio and gel strength of the composites were explored. The performances of the composites synthesized by adding Hangjin clay and no Hangjin clay were compared through analyses of SEM, DSC and IR. The results indicate that apparent grafting ratio was 93.4%, gel strength was 77.35% and aging rate was 26.7% when dosage of Hangjin clay was 65%.
