In order to research the seismic behavior of steel frame-concrete lateral force resisting wall fabricated structures, two full scale specimens composed of steel frame and reinforced concrete lateral force resisting wall were tested under cyclic horizontal loading, and the failure mode, hysteretic behavior, ductility and deformation and energy dissipation were investigated. Experimental results show that the structure is a typical double lateral force resisting system. As the first line of defense for the structural system, the concrete lateral force resisting wall shares the main lateral load at the early loading stage, and steel frame is the second line of defense for the structural system after the concrete lateral force resisting wall is out of work, and at the later loading stage, steel frame shares all of the lateral load and overall overturning moment because of the connection damage of concrete lateral force resisting wall at its top position. ©, 2015, Science Press.
