摘要
Elastothermodynamic Damping (ETD) is a source of damping present in all thermoelastic materials. Most of the works related to the evaluation of ETD in fibre-reinforced Metal-Matrix Composites (MMCs) assume perfect interfaces between reinforcement and matrix. On the contrary, composite materials do have imperfect interfaces because of debonding between the reinforcement and matrix. In recent years, the effect of imperfect interfaces on ETD of particulate MMCs has been analysed. In this work, imperfect interface model for the particulate composites has been extended to a continuous unidirectional fibre-reinforced composite. The investigations of imperfect mechanical and thermal interface on the ETD capacity have been carried out. Copyright © 2010 Inderscience Enterprises Ltd.
