摘要
We all love a good detective story! Legrandite, the subject of this Connoisseur’s Choice column, was first described in 1932 and was named after “a mine manager . . . Mr. Legrand, of Belgian nationality,” from whose widow the type specimen was obtained “some years” previously (Drugman and Hey 1932, p. 175). Yet until quite recently, despite authoritative speculation, no one really knew who “Mr. Legrand” was!
