Digital signal processor (DSP) controlled power supply has many advantages over analog controlled one. DSP based digital control can combine the application of power electronic technology. The power factor correcting (PFC) is one of the most important applications in power electronic technology. There are various operation modes according to different applications. Based on the Boost PFC circuit, This paper describes the system principle and the detailed design for the digital control under three typical modes. Furthermore, the related primary interface design, such as the PWM control strategy and the synchronous AD control method are also introduced. Finally one prototype is built to verify each digital control scheme. The whole digital solution for PFC application provides a favorable reference for PFC application.
