Application of central difference kalman filter method in navigation based on X-ray pulsars

摘要
Since measuring the pulse arrival time of pulsars requires long observation time, X-ray pulsars positioning based on the traditional Extended Kalman Filter (EKF) could produce large errors. For this reason, a method of X-ray pulsars positioning based on the Central Difference Kalman Filter (CDKF) is proposed. The CDKF can substitute for the EKF to blend the dynamic model of the spacecraft with the pulsar measurements for spacecraft positioning. Simulation results show that the CDKF method outperforms the EKF method.
