摘要
This study proposes a plate damper with a replaceable core (PDRC) for the passive control of structures. The PDRC consists of two replaceable energy-dissipation core plates and a constraining outer plate with displacement limiters. The outer plate is reusable. The PDRC exhibits excellent energy-dissipation performance due to the steel ring's ability to bend. Six specimens were tested using cyclic displacement loading experiments to investigate the effect of the steel ring's diameter-to-thickness ratio on the energy-dissipation performance of the PDRC and to demonstrate the feasibility of replacing the energy-dissipation plate. The established finite element models can effectively verify the experimental results, and the stress and damage mode of PDRC were investigated by analyzing the finite element model, and potential improvements of the damper were proposed. The parametric analysis provides practical formulas for each mechanical parameter in the force-displacement model of the PDRC, with the average error of the peak load being the largest at 4.68 %. Besides, the design recommendations of the outer plate and the design sequence of the parts were presented, which provide the basis for the design of the PDRC.
