An improved energy balance routing protocol in WSN

How to avoid some busy nodes consuming too much energy in order to balance the energy consumption of a whole network and prolong the network lifetime is the key to design the routing protocol of wireless sensor network. Based on EBRA that solved this problem well, an improved energy balance routing protocol is proposed: a source node chooses several next hop nodes dynamically and sets up a number of paths which are node-disjoint, and the data is divided into several segments to transmit, thus distributing the energy consumption on these paths. Simulation results by NS2 prove that this protocol balances the energy consumption better than EBRA does, and prolongs the network lifetime effectively.
