The possibility of preparing copolymers by radical copolymerization on adding an active monomer; butyl acrylate; to refluxing inactive vinyl n-butyl ether was examined. The copolymer composition was studied by IR and NMR spectroscopy and by gravimetric analysis. The molecular weight and polydispersity coefficient of the copolymer were determined. © 2009 Pleiades Publishing; Ltd;
